Privacy policy
DiscMap has no user accounts and asks for no personal details to work. This page lists everything that is stored or shared when you use it.

Who is responsible
The site discmap.app is run by Tomasz Dudek, Poland (the data controller). Contact: tomdudek@hotmail.com.
Data you create
- Courses. Everything you draw — course name, location, holes, map elements, notes, sponsor logos and images you upload — is stored on our server so the course can be edited and printed. A course is reachable by its private edit link; anyone with that link can edit it. A read-only public page of the course is available at its share link and may be listed in the course directory and in search engines.
- Feedback. If you send feedback, we store your message, any screenshot you attach, the page you were on, your browser's user-agent string and, only if you enter it, a contact address.
- Error reports. When the app crashes in your browser it may send a technical error report (error message, page address, browser version) so the bug can be fixed. It contains no personal details.
Server logs and abuse protection
Like every web server, ours sees your IP address with each request. It is used in memory to limit abusive traffic and may appear in short-lived server logs; it is not used to identify you or build a profile.
Cookies and local storage
DiscMap itself sets no tracking cookies. The editor stores small interface preferences (such as whether a panel is expanded) in your browser's local storage; they never leave your device.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
The site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners, as third-party vendors, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info.
- How Google uses data from sites that show its ads: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised ads or advertising cookies are used, and can change that choice at any time.
Maps and place search
Map tiles are loaded by your browser directly from OpenStreetMap and Esri (satellite imagery), so those services see your IP address and the map area you view, under their own privacy policies. Place searches are forwarded to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service by our server, without your IP address.
How long data is kept
Courses are kept until they are deleted or until you ask us to remove them. Feedback and error reports are kept only as long as needed to deal with them.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of data about you, object to its processing, and complain to a supervisory authority (in Poland: the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, UODO). Write to tomdudek@hotmail.com — for a course page, include its link. See also the terms of use.
